Digital Pink Media was founded in 2008 as an accessible source of marketing expertise for female micro-entrepreneurs.  In early 2009, the business expanded with the acquisition of Ladies Who Launch, Los Angeles and Orange County.

Over the next 14 months, the consultancy focused primarily on social media training, conducting entrepreneurial workshops and events, and building a solid community of aspiring female business owners.

In July 2010, Digital Pink Media sold the Ladies Who Launch franchise to Jan McCarthy, who had been with the company as a facilitator since its inception.

Since then, the media consultancy has focused on a limited number of clients while the founder works toward the completion of her graduate studies.

Thanks for your interest in Digital Pink Media.

    Sincerely,

    Caren Magill, Founder

  • About caren magill

Caren Magill is a blogger and communications specialist with expertise in media psychology and social marketing. She has a passion for inspiring prosocial behavior and human connection through media technology. The focus of Caren’s graduate research has explored how companies can harness technology to enhance employee subjective well being (aka happiness) and organizational commitment by combining theories in positive and organizational psychology with online communications strategies. Drawing on her background in marketing communications, her academic work and her love of all things high tech, she has a passion for creating corporate culture through digital storytelling and cascading it across a number of channels to build brand authenticity internally and externally.

In 2008, Caren was drawn to the entrepreneurial path after a 12-year career in corporate and strategic marketing with JDSU (JDS Uniphase), The TMX Group (Toronto Stock Exchange) and several venture-backed start-ups. While building a small business she embarked on a graduate degree in Media Psychology and Social Change, to further advance her interests in social innovation, brand influence and cause-based campaign strategy. After a successful exit from her company in 2010, she is focused on developing thought leadership in strategic internal communications, corporate social responsibility and cause-based marketing.

Preceding her Master’s degree, Caren graduated from York University in Toronto, Canada with a BA in Psychology. She is profoundly dedicated to causes that support and advocate animal welfare, environmental protection and social innovation in the areas of meaningful work and corporate responsibility. She lives in Los Angeles with her husband and two rescue dogs, coco and snickers.
